A pilot program developed in collaboration with the Lawrence Public Library (Lawrence, MA)
Live Workshops
In early 2023, the Lawrence Public Library (Lawrence, MA) hosted a series of live “Girls in STEM” workshops. During these sessions, local middle-school students met a series of women in STEM careers who shared details about their careers and educational paths.
After these sessions, attendees participated in a hands-on activity assembling STEM kits.
Online Course
To share this learning opportunity with the broadest possible audience, portions of the live workshop sessions were recorded and can be viewed by taking our online course.
Once a student has completed this online course, they will receive a printable certificate of attendance, which can be redeemed for a STEM kit at the Lawrence Public Library.
“Our mission is to inspire middle-school girls to become interested and see themselves in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math).”
